Industry Veterans Join Growing Team of Global Experts NEW YORK – Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, has established a Global Supply Chain Risk Management Practice under the leadership of Gary Lynch to provide clients with the risk intelligence and risk solutions required to better manage their value/supply chain risk. The firm also established Supply Chain Consulting and Supply Chain Risk Intelligence subpractices to be led by Ann Grackin and William McBeath, respectively. Our aim is provide clients with information on end-to-end supply chain risk metrics and new risk management options and techniques so that their supply chains remain healthy and resilient.” During his 30-year career, Mr. Lynch he has held a number of senior positions in operational risk, business resiliency and IT security. Before joining Marsh, he was a partner at Booz Allen Hamilton and, prior to that, at Ernst & Young. He also was global research director and market analyst for the Gartner Group. A graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree in Finance, Mr. Lynch has been a guest lecturer on operational risk at the NYU Stern School of Management. For more than two decades Ms. Grackin has been at the forefront of supply chain management technology and eCommerce, leading global strategy and technology implementations in the high technology, semiconductor, automotive, textile, and apparel industries. This included being a founding partner of Benchmarking Partners and managing AMR Research’s supply chain practice. A graduate of the Harvard School of Executive Management and the Sloan School of Strategic Planning, Ms. Grakin was a co-founder along with Mr. McBeath of ChainLink Research, a supply chain research and strategy firm, where both worked before joining Marsh. Mr. McBeath has more than 25 years of experience as a business and technology researcher, consultant, and software architect. In addition to serving as chief research officer of Chainlink, he was a managing director at Benchmarking Partners. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for advanced systems and software design and management at a number of leading technology companies, including NEC Computer Systems, Data General, and Wang. He has an undergraduate degree from Hampshire College and has done graduate work at MIT and Northeastern University. In addition to Lynch, Grackin, and McBeath, the new Global Supply Chain Risk Management Practice brings together professionals who have deep experience and are recognized experts in supply chain research, management, and risk mitigation. They have worked for organizations in nearly all global industry sectors, as well as the Department of Defense, the United Nations, and the World Health Organization.
